Local Olympic Guide: What to Watch Thursday

The last Lochte-Phelps Olympic showdown will be Thursday

Former Gator Ryan Lochte and Olympic legend Michael Phelps will race against each other for the last time in London Thursday, bringing to an end a very heated rivalry.

Though Lochte holds the world record in the 200M individual medley, Phelps beat him during the Olympic trials. During the 200M individual medley semifinals Wednesday, though, Lochte slid past Phelps, leaving Phelps in second place.

Phelps became the most decorated Olympian in history, winning his 19th medal Tuesday.

The race will be streamed live at 3:19 p.m. ET.

Lochte also swims in the final of the 200M backstroke to look for another gold medal. He had the top qualifying time. The race will be streamed at 2:48 p.m. ET.

The USA Men’s Basketball team, featuring the Heat’s LeBron James is also set to play Nigeria at 5:15 p.m. ET.

The team clobbered Tunisia Tuesday 67-36.
