MDC Live Arts Bringing World-Class Performances to South Florida

If you love dance, theatre and music, but don't like the high price of show tickets, Miami-Dade College says it's time you pay attention to its booming arts scene.

MDC said it has amazing student shows and professional world-class performances at some surprising prices.

Students in the college's dance company are getting world-class training from professional dancers and choreographers from around the world. The student performances are free or cost just a few dollars.

Performers said they want to expose all of South Florida to the arts.

"A lot of kids won't get that exposure because of things that get in the way, like tickets will be too pricey or they'll be too far out the way. We make it accessible to the community. We don't just perform here, we perform around the City of Miami," one performer explained.

The college is also celebrating its 25th anniversary of its MDC Live Arts programs, bringing a variety of professional performances from around the world to South Florida. To celebrate that milestone, you can catch these world-class performances for $25 or less.

Those same professional artists will actually spend weeks in the classroom teaching MDC students their craft.
