A violent crash involving a motorcycle had a section of the MacArthur Causeway closed for nearly six hours early Tuesday.
The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Alton Road. The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Miami Beach Police closed the westbound lanes of the Causeway until about 8 a.m.
Drivers were advised to use I-195 as an alternate.
