Two Kissimme brothers are being held without bond after deputies say they raped a woman in a home-invasion robbery that involved guns and a machete.
Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office said Richard Delgado Cruz, 33, and Danny Delgado Cruz, 29, entered a Poinciana home, raped a woman while her family was forced to watch, then used bleach on her body to destroy the evidence, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The brothers reportedly forced their way into the home, wearing masks and carrying machetes and guns, and demanded money and jewelry. When the family denied having any valuables, they tied up some of the family members and took turns raping a woman, according to the report.
Both brothers are being charged with armed robbery, armed burglary of an occupied dwelling, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and sexual battery, according to a Polk County news release.
Records show Richard Cruz has previously been arrested on charges of armed robbery, DUI hit-and-run and homicide. Danny Cruz has previously been arrested on charges of larceny, battery, and possession of cocaine and marijuana.
