A man from the Fort Myers area is behind bars, charged with stealing over $121,000 in Amazon.com following a two month investigation.
Police arrested 36-year-old Julio Hernandez after finding the stolen merchandise inside his home in Lehigh Acres, according to NBC affiliate WBBH-TV. The investigation started in July when a stolen load of cargo containing the items was reportedly in the area.
The driver of the shipment was also arrested as a result. Hernandez posted a $40,000 bond and is set for a September court date. Police removed the items from Hernandez’s home and will begin the process of getting them to their rightful owners.
