Police have arrested the man they say was involved in a camera being found in the employee restroom of a Palm Beach County hospital.
NBC affiliate WPTV-TV said that Rudelmiro Perez was arrested Monday by Homeland Security officers as he tried to board a plane in Houston, Texas while trying to leave the country.
The camera was discovered in the bathroom at St. Mary's Hospital back on October 3. One of the images showed an ID card, but detectives have not said if that helped them find Perez.
West Palm Beach police spokeswoman Molly Anderson said during a news conference on Tuesday that investigators found more than a million still and video images.
Perez was a technician who took CT scans at the hospital and PET scans at medical facilities in Delray Beach and Boca Raton.
He's being returned to South Florida to face eight counts of video voyeurism. A lawyer wasn't listed on records.
