Man Arrested After Barricading Himself In Hialeah Apartment After Fight: Cops

Hialeah Police arrested a a 21-year-old man who barricaded himself in his parents' apartment for hours after a dispute with them on Saturday. 

The building is located at 1285 West 44th Place.

His parents and authorities had been outside the home trying to make contact with him. Police then tried other tactics including smoke grenades and flash bangs, which eventually forced him out. Two snipers had been on the roof to prevent the man from hurting himself and responders.
 
He was treated on the scene by paramedics,, and authorities were investigating whether he was under the influence of drugs.
 
His name or the charges against him were not immediately released.
