A 74-year-old man barricaded himself inside a house and poured gas around it, police said.

A 74-year-old man with mental issues barricaded himself inside a house in Lauderhill Wednesday morning, police said.

According to the Lauderhill Police Department, the man poured a little bit of gas around the house before locking himself in at 3390 NW 8th Court.

Police said the man's family members came out of the house and were unharmed.

Authorities are trying to contact the man by phone.
