Davie Police were searching for a suspect who they say may have robbed two banks on Friday.

The suspect entered a Regents Bank on 2205 S University Drive in Davie at 11:45 a.m. He gave the teller a note that asked for money but no one reported him using a weapon, police said.

The man is described as being 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He has a round face, a beard and wore a white T-shirt.

A man who matches the description of the Regents' robbery suspect also robbed a Valley Bank 40 minutes later at 3309 Sheridan St. in Hollywood, according to police. He robbed the bank using the same method but wore a light button-down shirt.

Davie Police say they have a perimeter set up and dogs searching the area around Regents Bank.

There have been no reported injuries and it is unknown how much money the suspect was able to take.
