A man was bitten on the calf by a nurse shark Friday after he caught the fish and got into the water to disengage the hook off Summerland Key, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said the bite was superficial and the 23-year-old man was being treated at the Lower Keys Hospital.
The injury was not serious, officials said.
