Man Charged With Murder in Double Shooting Outside Miami Gardens Strip Club

A man is facing murder charges in a shooting outside a Miami Gardens strip club earlier this month.

Justin Bailey, 26, was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon Thursday.

He made his first appearance in bond court Friday, where he was ordered held without bond. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.

The shooting happened early on the morning of July 21 outside Mint Lounge on Northwest 187th Street.

According to an arrest report, the incident started when two women got into a fight inside the club. The fight carried outside when gunfire erupted.

Bailey and two others ended up shot during the altercation, the report said. One victim died at the scene and another at Aventura Hospital.

Police said Bailey was arrested after he was discharged from Jackson Memorial Hospital.

According to the report, Bailey admitted to having a gun and opening fire but said his brother had been shot before he started shooting. He said he was defending himself, the report said.
