Man Charged With Striking, Biting Child for Not Doing Homework

Police arrested 36-year-old Glenn Thor Larsen on aggravated child abuse charges.

A man is behind bars after police say he hit and bit his stepson for not doing his homework.

Police said Glenn Thor Larsen, 36, was picking up his 10-year-old stepson at after school care Thursday.

Once the two were in the car, Larsen asked his stepson if he had finished his homework, police said.

When the child said no, Larsen said, "Now you're in trouble," according to the police report. Larsen pulled the car over and began to strike the child on the left side of his face and torso with an open hand and closed fist, police said. The child told police he was hit in the face at least five times.

Larsen then drove to their Miami Beach home and struck him again in the face and torso, but this time he also bit him in the upper left thigh, according to the police report.

Police said the child suffered redness, swelling and bruising to the entire left side of his face and a circular bruising pattern, redness and swelling to his upper thigh area.

Larsen admitted to police post-Miranda to spanking his stepson with an open hand and biting him, according to the police report. Police said he acknowledged he was wrong and that he has anger management difficulties.

Larsen was charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence. He is being held in Miami-Dade jail on $21,000 bond. It is unknown if he has a lawyer.
