A Miami man is facing second-degree murder charge in the brutal beating death of a woman in July in Opa-locka.
Lazo Santiago, 52, was arrested Tuesday in the death of 49-year-old Sandra Santiesteban Alonso, Miami-Dade Police said.
Santiago was being held without bond Thursday and it was unknown if he has an attorney.
According to police, officers found the body of Alonso inside her Honda Accord in the area of Northwest 135th Street and Northwest 26th Court the evening of July 10.
Police said the investigation and laboratory analysis led them to issue a warrant for Santiago.
