Man Dies After He Is Found Lying Outside Miramar Bar

The man was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he died at around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

A man who was found lying outside Mike's Bar in Miramar was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said Tuesday.

The man was identified as Kenley Antoine Sanon, a Miramar resident.  A bar patron had walked outside and noticed him lying on the ground with either a gunshot or stab wound. The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.

He was found around 1:30 a.m., and neighbors said they are upset about the incident.

"It bothers me to hear that because I leave my house and start walking every morning," said neighbor Kimberly Hollis. "But to hear that, it does bother me."

The man was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he died at around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

For Marcy Shookram living next door, it was a wake-up call.

"It's shocking to hear something like that happen in your neighborhood," Shookram said. "It makes you want to leave."

It is unknown if Sanon, who was found lying between two cars, was robbed or if there was a struggle. Police have not identified the owners of the cars.

According to Shookram it was a typical, quiet night in the Miramar neighborhood.

"It's funny because my room is to the back too and we didn't hear anything last night,"Shookram said.

Authorities ask anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493 TIPS.
