Authorities say a man facing charges for possessing a crack pipe brought a crack pipe with him to a court appearance and was re-arrested.

Stanley Ramos, 32, of west Bradenton, was re-arrested on Tuesday after he was caught at the Manatee County Judicial Center with a crack stem while passing through security , the sheriff's office said in a release.

"...Ramos was found to be in possession of a crack stem. Ramos completed his court appearance for a prior possession of paraphernalia charge and was arrested," the release said.

Ramos remains in jail on Wednesday on $1,120 bond, a jail official.

He had initially been arrested on Dec. 31 because a deputy had seen a crack pipe in his backpack, the Bradenton Herald reported.

It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
