A 22-year-old man was fatally struck by a car Sunday morning while walking on North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes, police say.
Moises Figueroa was killed just after 5 a.m. Sunday morning, when he was struck by a 2008 Mercedes GL450 as he walked on the roadway near 4800 North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes, according to Broward Sheriff's office.
BSO says Robert Hill, 47, was driving northbound when his car struck Figueroa as he was walking.
Hill fled immediately after the crash, but later returned and identified himself to authorities as the driver of the Mercedes, BSO says.
Authorities say Figueroa died at the scene.
Traffic homicide detectives are investigating.
