Man Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Lauderdale Lakes

A man was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday while crossing Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes.

The vehicle was heading west along the 3400 block of Oakland Park Boulevard at around 1:03 a.m., when the pedestrian was struck, according to Broward Sheriff's Office spokesperson Keyla Concepcion.

Detectives believe the suspect vehicle is a 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty. The vehicle should have damage to the front driver side, including the bumper, headlight, marker lens and possibly hood. The vehicle will be missing the driver side fender cover., according to BSO.
