Police investigate a fatal shooting in Fort Lauderdale.
Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death on a Fort Lauderdale street Thursday night.
The body of the unidentified man was found when officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 500 block of Northeast 11th Street around 7:30 p.m., Fort Lauderdale Police spokesman Det. Travis Mandell said.
"The victim was walking in the street and at some point he was confronted possibly by two unknown black males who proceeded to shoot him to death and we're still going to pursue all leads and try to find these guys," Mandell said.
Police dogs and helicopters were brought in to search for the suspects but they weren't found, Mandell said.
The motive for the shooting was still being investigated.
