Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man in Tamarac.
Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a home in the 7900 block of Northwest 85th Avenue Thursday afternoon after receiving a 911 call reporting gunshots.
BSO's SWAT team responded to the scene and when they entered the home, found the body of 51-year-old Ivan Brandt, officials said.
Neighbor Barbara Gross watched the drama unfold in the quiet community.
"I had SWAT team in my backyard with rifles raised and a German shepherd. I had the regular BSO back there with guns drawn," she said.
Gross said she knew Brandt from the neighborhood.
"He seemed like an aggressive person, and he was a little strange," she said. "He really wasn't friendly with everybody."

Homicide detectives are investigating Brandt's death. So far, no suspects have been named.
