Two people were injured after they fell off a drawbridge in Miami Thursday night, officials said.
Miami Fire Rescue officials said a man and woman in their 60s fell off the 27th Avenue drawbridge as it was going up just before 9 p.m.
The man suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, officials said. The woman suffered minor scratches and was evaluated but declined further medical attention. Their names weren't released.
Authorities said it's unclear why they were on the bridge while it was moving and whether or not they ignored the warning signals.
