Coral Springs Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who impersonated a police officer while robbing a home.

Police said a man living in a home on the 5900 block of Northwest 117 Drive answered his door on the night of April 14. A man standing outside displayed a police badge, pushed the door open and pointed a gun at the resident, police said.

The man proceeded to handcuff the victim and had him walk through the home as he stole jewelry and cash. Before he left he also bound the man with tape by his legs, hands and ankles, authorities said.

The suspect, who wore a dark hat and windbreaker, is described as a white male in his 30s.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Det. Cucchi at 954-346-1285.
