Man Injured in Unprovoked Attack At Gas Station: Cops

The attack occurred at 6:10 p.m. on July 26

Miami-Dade Police on Thursday urged the public to give information about a suspect who allegedly attacked a man at a gas station without any reason.

According to surveillance video from inside the gas station's convenience store, a man in a white tank top is seen violently striking another man to the ground outside the store. The suspect was also seen getting something from a refrigerator inside the store.

The victim, Charles Thomas Briggs, 51, from Miami, was entering the gas station, located at 26790 SW 137th Avenue, on July 26 at 6:10 p.m. when he was attacked and suffered severe injuries to his face, police said.

Authorities said they have no motive.

The suspect fled in a black Ford or Nissan, authorities said.
