Man Fatally Shot In Dania Beach

The Broward Sheriff's Office was investigating the Dania Beach shooting.
A late-night birthday party ended in gunfire, and a man fatally shot in Dania Beach early Saturday morning.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said 20-year-old Dijon Brown of Hollywood was shot multiple times and died at the scene. Authorities said Brown and another man at the party may have had an ongoing dispute.
Neighbors told NBC Miami a crowd converged on the corner of Phippen Rd and SW 7th Street between midnight and 1:00 a.m.
Shaquanda Matthews said the victim was a close friend.
“We was standing out having a party, and all we know is gun shots rang out,” Matthews told NBC Miami. “He was hit.”
Anyone with information is asked to Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or online. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
