A 47-year-old man really nailed it — his finger to a roof, that is.
Authorities said the man was working on the roof at 2949 Day Avenue in Coconut Grove when the accident happened Thursday.
He was at a 45-degree angle on a pitch roof when he nailed his finger to the roof. Miami Fire Rescue couldn't get him down and called tactical rescue units to help.
They had to cut around his hand and keep his finger nailed to the roof before they could get him down.
Because they couldn't remove the nail on the roof, he was transported to Ryder Trauma Center.
