Woman Hospitalized After Near-Drowning

An elderly woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition and her grandson was treated on scene and released after a near-drowning in Hialeah Gardens Tuesday. Carlos Murias, who pulled them both out of the water, and witnesses Jacky Cisneros and Nicole Lucches talk about what happened.

A man in his 30s was pulled from water by police officers in Coral Springs, police said.

CPR was done on the man as he was taken to University Hospital Tuesday night, said Mike Moser of Coral Springs Police.

The near-drowning occurred on the 400 block of University Drive, he said.
