Man Robbed, Shot After Opening Motel Room Door: Cops

The suspects robbed him, shot him at least one time and then fled, authorities said

A man was shot and robbed after opening the door to his Boynton Beach motel room Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Police said the shooting occurred at 4:10 a.m. at Seven J's Motel, located at 614 Northeast 8th Avenue.

The man, who was not immediately identified, heard a knock on the door of the room, opened it and two men pushed into the room, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.

They robbed him, shot him at least one time and then fled, authorities said.

The man was to Delray Medical Center for treatment.
