Man Robbed at Knifepoint Outside Hollywood McDonald's

Police are searching for a thief who robbed a man at knifepoint outside a Hollywood McDonald's.

The robbery happened back on Jan. 31 at the fast food restaurant at 2690 Stirling Road and was caught on surveillance cameras, Hollywood Police said Thursday.

According to police, the suspect followed 62-year-old Shan Lovarson out of the restaurant. As Lovarson opened the door to his car, the suspect pulled out a 10 to 12-inch kitchen knife.

A confrontation ensued and Lovarson was able to escape uninjured, and ran into the McDonald's to call 911. The suspect grabbed an Acer laptop, Polaroid smart phone and Nikon camera out of the car and fled on foot, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black male, about 5-foot-10 and believed to be in his 20s. He had a medium build and a full set of gold teeth.
