A man was arrested after he ordered a beer at a bar, left to rob a bank and then returned to the bar to pay for his drink, authorities said.

John Robin Whittle, 52, was arrested Thursday and faces one count of robbery, according to online jail records.

Whittle ordered his beer at Hayloft Bar and robbed a Wells Fargo bank about one block away, according to Douglas Tobin of Pasco County Sheriff's Office. He was arrested after he returned to the bar.

Jail records show Whittle remains in custody on $10,000 bond. It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
