Miami Police are investigating after a man was shot outside his Little Haiti home Friday morning

Miami Police are investigating after a man was shot outside his Little Haiti home Friday morning.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. in the 900 block of Northwest 2nd Avenue.

Family members identified the victim as 22-year-old Johnny Blidge, a father of four, and said they found his body near the door of his home.

Jasmine Pierre, the mother of Blidge's children, said his life was taken in a matter of seconds.

"Three shots, that's all we heard," she said.

She said what's most heartbreaking is that her children won't know their father.

"We just had a baby together. We have four kids. Our youngest is three months," Pierre said.

Blidge's sister Mykeshia Scott said the kids were her brother's life.

"That hurts so bad, like now they have to grow up without a daddy," she said.

The children were in the house as police examined the crime scene.

Police are investigating the shooting but, said they have no motive and no description of the suspect or suspects.

Scott said she now hopes for a quick end to the investigation.

"They need to come forward," she said. "This is crazy."

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
