Miami-Dade Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed Wednesday.
The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Northwest 29th Avenue, officials said.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Travis Riggins.
Police said a call came in for shots fired in the area. Miami-Dade Public Schools Police officers were first to arrive at the scene.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also responded and pronounced Riggins dead at the scene. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives said a subject dressed in dark-colored clothing was seen running back to the passenger side of a white, newer model SUV and fled westbound on Northwest 52nd Street.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
