A man is in custody after police say he stabbed another man during an argument on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.

Eloy Rodriguez, 55, is facing an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charge in the stabbing that happened on Lincoln Road near Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.

Rodriguez, who police said is homeless, was being held on $10,000 bond Thursday. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.

Officials say Rodriguez stabbed the victim several times in the torso and fled the scene but was followed by several witnesses who flagged down detectives in the 500 block of 16th Street.

The victim, whose identity wasn't released, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where his condition was unknown.
