A man is facing a first-degree murder charge after he stabbed a co-worker to death during a dispute at a Medley business, police said Thursday.
Oscar Quintana, 41, was arrested in the stabbing that happened just before noon Wednesday at the Keystone Automotive Warehouse at 11701 Northwest 101st Road, Miami-Dade Police said.
According to an arrest affidavit, Quintana and the unidentified victim were involved in a verbal dispute when the victim left to speak to a supervisor.
Quintana went to the kitchen area of the business where he grabbed a 12-inch knife with a 7 and a half-inch blade from a drawer and concealed it with several pieces of paper towel, the affidavit said.
He then sought out the victim, insulted him and when the victim lunged at him, Quintana stabbed him in the chest, the affidavit said.
The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene. Quintana was taken into custody without incident.
Quintana, from Hialeah, was being held without bond Thursday. It's unknown whether he has an attorney.
