Man Steals Dog, Lion Statues From Oakland Park Antique Shop

Authorities in Oakland Park are searching for a man who stole a $800 statue of a dog from a local antique shop.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office released surveillance footage of the suspect, who was seen driving a dark Ford Ranger with chrome rails to the Decorative Arts & Fine Antiques store at 3263 N. Dixie Highway on June 10. The suspect hit the same store just a few days later, stealing a $600 statue of a lion and a 5-foot wall planter on June 12.

Authorities believe the suspect is involved with similar burglaries that have occurred on North Dixie Highway in the past couple of weeks. He is 5-foot-8, weighs 180 pounds and has short hair.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Any tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for an award of up to $3,000.
