Man Stole 26 iPad Minis From Coral Springs Walmart After Smashing Display Case: Police

Police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect

A suspect smashed a display case at a Coral Springs Walmart and walked out with 26 iPad Minis, police said Monday.

Coral Springs Police said in a news release that they want the public’s help identifying the man, who walked into the Walmart Supercenter at 6001 Coral Ridge Drive on Jan. 18 at about 04:36 a.m.

He headed straight to the Electronics Department, where he went behind the counter and smashed the glass where the iPads are kept, surveillance video shows. He then loaded the iPad Minis into a large blue bag and walked out the front doors of the store, police said.

They were worth over $8,400, according to police.

The suspect departed in a silver Mercedes driven by an unknown suspect, police added.
