Authorities are looking for a man who was caught on camera stealing a little boy's iPad at a fast food restaurant in Tamarac, and then returning it weeks later.
The theft happened back on Nov. 6 at the McDonald's at 7600 Northwest 57th Street as the 7-year-old boy and his aunt were getting breakfast, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
Video from the restaurant showed the boy put the iPad on a table near the playground and walk away. That's when the man grabbed the device and left the restaurant, officials said.
Once authorities released the video, BSO said the man went back to the McDonald's on Nov. 24 and returned the iPad to an employee.
BSO described the suspect as a tall, heavy-set white male, possibly in his 50s with short hair. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
The investigation is ongoing.
