Man Struck, Killed by Miami-Bound Train in Jensen Beach

A man has died after being struck by a train that was headed to Miami from Jacksonville.

Sheriff's officials told local media the crash occurred Monday night on the Florida East Coast Railway tracks in Jensen Beach, which is located about 46 miles north of West Palm Beach along the coast.

Martin County Sheriff's spokeswoman Christine Weiss says the train was traveling from Jacksonville to Miami when it struck the man around 8 p.m.

The man's name and age haven't been released.

Earlier Monday a man was fatally struck by a train in Palm Beach County.
