Man Taken Into Custody Off “Derelict” Boat: FWC

He threatened to shoot authorities, a FWC spokesman said

Authorities have taken a man into custody on a boat in Oleta River State Park, chopper footage showed.

The incident started when the man was told to get his vessel out of the water in Biscayne Bay because the boat was derelict, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Officer Jorge Pino said.

He then became upset and threatened to shoot authorities, Pino said.

Authorities brought the handcuffed man onto their boat at 2:30 p.m.
