A 30-year-old man was arrested at Fort Lauderdale’s airport after loudly yelling that he wanted to go to Jamaica while refusing a ticket agent’s explanation that he needed a passport, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
Brandon Johnson yelled and swore at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport during an argument with an agent Sunday morning, according to the BSO.
As the terminal full of people watched, "(Johnson) refused to accept the ticket agent's explanation and kept arguing louder and louder using profanity," BSO Deputy Jon Edwards wrote in a report.
Johnson also clenched his fist and swore at Edwards before he forced the man to the ground and cuffed him for disorderly conduct, Edwards wrote.
Johnson was released from the Broward County Main Jail Monday after posting $25 bond.
