Police have arrested a man and woman for the disturbing murder of a man inside his Hollywood home last week.
David Lee Guffey and Jessica Lyn Hazzard are both charged with murder during the Aug. 19 home invasion at 1822 Harding St. The two were looknig for money to buy drugs when "things just got out of hand," Hazzard told police.
The victim, Ronald J. Harrison, 61, was found bound and stabbed shortly after 9 a.m. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he later died.
Both Guffey, 44, and Hazzard, 28, were arrested on Aug. 20. Both are being held without bond.
Police say they robbed the man of $57 and continually beat him to try to get more money. A witness at the apartment at the time of the beating said the couple beat Harrison for 30 minutes before leaving for good.
