In honor of Memorial Day, businesses across South Florida are offering freebies, deals and discounts as a way to honor those who have fought and died for our country, and as a way to say thank you to the brave men and women who proudly serve in the U.S. Military - both active and retired - and the National Guard, and their families.
In some cases, you don't need to be a member of the Military to take advantage of these deals.
Many retailers choose not to publicly advertise their Military discounts, so be sure to call ahead of time and, just in case, have your Military identification handy in order to take advantage.
Military identification can include:

*Universal Orlando Resort
Specially priced admission tickets are available at Leisure Travel offices at Military bases nationwide for active active duty, retired Military and Department of Defense personnel. Ticket pricing is determined by the local Leisure Travel offices. Active duty Military with valid Military IDs can receive a discount when purchasing multi-day tickets at the front gate tickets windows at Universal Orlando Resort. You must present your current Military or Department of Defense identification at any participating ITT or ITR office on base to receive the discount.
Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World Resort is saluting U.S. Military personnel by offering 4-Day Military promotional tickets for $177 plus tax from September 28, 2014 through October 3, 2015. The Park Hopper option is included. Purchases can be made through September 30th. The following blockout dates apply:
