Miami Beach Police said an uncle allegedly beat a nine-year-old girl and then asked her to get into a dumpster.
Miami Beach Police said the uncle, Jesus Crys, 30, and his niece were in an argument inside their apartment when the uncle took her outside. Police said he then hit the girl several times in the head and asked her to get into the dumpster.
“We just heard a lot of noise over there, like someone hitting on a door,” a neighbor who asked not to be identified said. “The bedroom of my son is right alongside to the other one where everything occurred. He heard a lot of noise.”
Police said they had to break through some glass to get to Crys Wednesday evening, but he is now in custody. DCF is involved to care for the child and another child that was in the home.
