File this under not surprising... it costs a pretty penny to live in Miami Beach!
Property Shark just released their analysis of the 20 priciest ZIP codes in the U.S., and 33109 - Miami Beach - ranks number nine nationwide.
As reported by NBC News, the analysis looks at median home prices for homes sold between January 2014 and May 2015. According to data, just 57 Miami Beach homes were sold during that time period.
The average cost of these Miami Beach spreads? A cool 2.6 million!
California claimed four of the top five spots, and 14 of the top 20, while New York claimed all the other top ZIP codes, including the priciest of the pricey - Sagaponack, New York - where the average home goes for more than $5.1 million.
The median sales price among the top 10 ZIP codes - including Miami Beach - are all at or above $2.6 million.
That's 10 times the national average media home price, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
