Miami Beach Man Kidnapped, Raped Woman Over Christmas: Police

Miami Beach Police are asking the public to help them find “a brutal and dangerous” suspect who they say held a woman hostage and repeatedly raped her over a day and a half at Christmas.
Freddy Padilla, 48, of 334 Ocean Drive in Miami Beach held the 48-year-old woman in his apartment and hers between Christmas Eve and the morning of Dec. 26, police said.
He “repeatedly raped and beat the victim,” who was discovered by her daughter, who went looking for her after she did not show up on Christmas, police said.
When the daughter found her battered mother and Padilla in the apartment she began to scream and Padilla fled, according to police.
Padilla, a.k.a. Fredy Ivan Padilla Flores, is 5’9” and 160 pounds, and has brown eyes and short curly brown hair, police said.
They said people should not try to detain Padilla, and asked anyone with information about him to call the Miami Beach Police Department at 305-673-7900, or to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
