Miami Beach Man Stole Car, Threw Owner's Dog Out of Window: Police

A Miami Beach man accused of stealing a car and throwing the owner's dog out the window faced a judge in bond court Friday.

Vladimir Moise, 25, faces multiple felony charges, including grand theft and animal abuse, according to an arrest form.

The crime occurred Wednesday, when the victim left her Mini Cooper running with her dog inside as she went to recover some items from her friend's apartment in Miami Beach.

Moise, who was inside the friend's apartment, allegedly snuck out the window, jumped into the victim's car and drove away. The victim held onto the car in an attempt to stop him but ended up being dragged for a short distance.

That's when Moise allegedly threw her dog out of the car window. Both the victim and her pet were injured.

Before Moise abandoned the car in the alleyway, he used the victim's iPad to smash the windows, police say.

Moise remains in jail on a $38,000 bond. He will be arraigned in September.
