A swarm of police officers descended upon Miami Beach after a woman threatened to harm herself and firefighters.
The incident started about 8 p.m. Monday when a 911 caller said a woman in an Ocean Drive apartment might hurt herself.
The Miami Herald reports the woman threatened to shoot the Miami Beach fire rescue team that responded.
Police spokeswoman Vivian Hernandez says the fire rescue workers called police.
Police swarmed the area, and SWAT officers were brought in as a precaution.
Hernandez says officers got into the woman's apartment about 10:30 p.m. and found she was unarmed and uninjured.
Police did not identify the woman.
