The Rickenbacker and Venetian Causeways are now officially using SunPass to collect tolls.
The new toll lanes will no longer accept cash or the old Miami-Dade County C-Pass transponders. Instead, all tolls will be collected via SunPass transponders or Toll-by-Plate.
Two-axle vehicles will pay the standard $1.75 per trip on the Rickenbacker and $1.75 each way on the Venetian. Those without SunPass using Toll-by-Plate will be charged $2.25 per trip and a monthly administrative fee of $2.50.
Annual causeway plan holders will be billed at the same rate, but they must associate their activated SunPass transponders with their toll plans to avoid extra charges.
