A Miami-based Coast Guard unit got an early Christmas present Tuesday when they found 630 pounds on marijuana on a boat near the Bahamas, according to a press release.

The Coast Guard Cutter Dolphin were out on patrol in the Caribbean Sea about nine miles west of Bimini, Bahamas when they came upon the 18-foot boat with Florida registration.

On board they found 12 duffel bags and three trash bags filled with several bricks worth of the good stuff.

The haul was brought back to Miami, where it was offloaded yesterday. The stash was enough to fill the back of a small van.

An unknown number of suspected smugglers was arrested.
