An unemployed father of two has been spending his free time at the Aventura Mall, secretly taping women inside a Bloomingdale's dressing room, police said.

Marcelo Matus was busted Saturday after someone noticed him fiddling around with his cell phone in the womens' fitting rooms.

The 34-year-old was charged with video voyeurism after a mall security camera taped him peeping around the store.

Matus, who lives with his father, stepmother, half sister and brother, girlfriend and two children, apparently didn't tell his family about the incident.

"I don't know what to think. A teenager can do something like this but not an old man," said stepmother Celeste Matus. "Is he crazy or something?"

Matus is being charged under a 2004 federal criminal law aimed at stopping video voyeurs who record women and post it on the Internet.

The law has helped bust pervy predators like Jon Fletcher, a Davie man who was arrested in 2006 for putting a camera in a hat and sliding it under unsuspecting female K-Mart shoppers, some as young as eight years old.

Matus was released after making bail, and he'll be back in court Wednesday, but it looks like he'll have plenty to deal with at home.

"He said he was going to the beach," said stepmother Celeste, adding that the next time she sees Matus, " I'm gonna slap him."
