A former Miami-Dade police officer who was out on bond for posing as a cop was arrested again for the same crime, police said.
Martha Aleman, 46, appeared before a bond court judge Tuesday to face charges for the second time in less than a month.
Aleman confessed to the crime when detectives questioned her about posing as a cop, according to a police report. This time, officers accuse Aleman of claiming to serve on a cyber crime and terrorism task force.
In late July, Aleman's friend introduced her to the victim who was concerned about her 21-year-old daughter's online activity. The victim was worried about an online relationship her daughter was involved in. Aleman told the victims she was an undercover agent for the task force, an arrest report says.
The 46-year-old also introduced the victim to someone she claimed was her sister. The former cop also the woman was a psychologist. Police said Aleman told the victims her so-called sister could help the victim's daughter. The psychologist collected $300 for a two-hour session at the victims' house, a police report said.
The victim realized she was being scammed when she went online and found a news article about Aleman facing charges for impersonating an office. That's when the victim called police.
During Tuesday's hearing, a judge ordered a public defender to represent Aleman, but state prosecutors argued she has the means to hire an attorney as she is a retired police officer. She was later released on bond.
In July, the 46-year-old was released on $5,000 bond after she followed a driver into a gas station, got into a verbal argument with the driver and claimed to be a police officer, police said.

Miami-Dade Police Department told NBC 6 Aleman resigned from the department January 2016 after a 14-year career. Officials did not disclose the reason for her resignation.
