A Miami-Dade firefighter was in serious but stable condition after being burned during a training exercise Friday morning, authorities said.

A Miami-Dade firefighter was in serious but stable condition after being burned during a training exercise Friday morning, authorities said.
Lt. Kevin E. McCrea, 38, was burned by a flash fire while preparing for a training exercise in Doral, which involved a car, said Capt. Louis Fernandez.
He was wearing a polo shirt and pants when he was burned.
McCrea, known as Mac to friends, is an 11-year veteran of the department. He has a wife and three young children.
